Trama:
Mike Lowrey e Marcus Bennett, due poliziotti della squadra narcotici di Miami, stanno investigando su un traffico di ecstasy nella città. Nel corso delle indagini, si imbattono in una gigantesca associazione a delinquere capeggiata da un pericoloso e spietato trafficante di stupefacenti il cui piano è quello di controllare Miami, anche a costo di scatenare una sanguinosa guerra tra bande. A complicare le cose la comparsa sulla scena di Syd, la bellissima sorella di Marcus, anch'essa agente della squadra federale antidroga, di cui Mike presto si innamora.
